Kevin Calvey, R-Del City, was chairman of the House Revenue and Taxation Committee, and a key player in shaping legislation that was intended, but failed, to close a loophole being used for tax credit abuse schemes.

At this same time Calvey was running for a seat in US Congress and the following describes large donations Calvey received from the biggest known abusers of the loophole and others standing to benefit from the loophole remaining open.

As a consequence Calvey allowed biggest known abuser of the loophole to help in rewriting the amendment that originated in the senate to close the loophole.
