Venture capital (also known as VC or Venture) is a type of private equity capital typically provided to early-stage, high-potential, growth companies where the rewards are years out and carry a high risk. Venture capital is a special kind of funding to create a foundation for building the businesses that will replace today's diminishing industry and jobs. Oklahoma's venture tax credit program was intended to incentivize that venture capital funding needed by rewarding investors tax credits worth 20 to 30% of their at risk investment. |
The Altus Gang, List 1, refers to FSB Bancorp Altus, a bank holding company, and some 20 subsidiaries including First State Bank Altus; that existed as of Janurary 2009, when the FDIC issued the Cease and Desist Order against First State Bank of Altus, Altus, Oklahoma; and order an audit.
In February 2009, the Federal Reserve Board issued a second Cease and Desist Order against FSB Bancorp and Affiliates.
The audits were completed in July 2009 and the FDIC seized First State Bank of Altus, Altus, and the bank was taken over by Herring Bank, Amarillo, Texas.
An investigation insued. There are numerous issues that remain unresolved, and presumably are part of the investigation. Debtor issues forced, Quartz Mountain Aerospace, Inc., to filed for bankruptcy.
